Come and Enjoy the fantastic Hemsby Miniature Railway for a great day out
The Parklands holiday park in Hemsby is one of the region’s most popular family holiday destinations, but as well as the more traditional holidaymakers, it also plays host to the annual gathering of Britain’s 7 1/4 Gauge miniature railway enthusiasts.
Parklands is home to the beautifully maintained miniature railway at Hemsby, which runs both electric and steam trains, and which draws in miniature railway enthusiasts from all round the world. Access to the railway is possible for non-residents of the holiday park, but for free, unfettered access to this train lover’s dream, you’ll need to book into the holiday park itself.
Every Sunday at Parklands’ Hemsby Miniature Railway is steam day, with steam trains running for at least four hours, from 11am till 3pm, with longer times dependant on weather and demand. And for the kids, every Tuesday and Thursday morning between 10am and 11am the Lollipop Express pulls into the station for a fun, child-oriented miniature railway experience.
So if you’re planning a seaside getaway, why not stop by the Parklands miniature railway at Hemsby and take advantage of this unique attraction.
