As the summer starts to hot up Hemsby is getting ready for its festival season.
There are plenty of events going on in Hemsby this summer, but one to highlight is definitely the festival weekend on the16th and 17th July.
The festival began in 2008, designed to bring together all sections of the village, business and residents, to showcase everything that Hemsby is about.
This years event includes headline acts ‘Next Generation Caribbean Steel Band’ and Blues Brothers act ‘Illinois’. Even if live music events aren’t your thing, there’s still loads to choose from.
Cooking shows, Punch and Judy, dance troops, donkey rides, steam engines and even local mascot races will all be going on, in and around the festival.
There are plenty of festivals happening all over Norfolk and Suffolk. If your thinking of coming down for a holiday or day out, look out for festivals like Hemsby’s.
A festival is good old fashioned British fun, and combined with some Norfolk sunshine it cannot be beaten.
