If you’re a fan of classic British cars, then this weekend in Hemsby is set to be a slice of hi-octane heaven, as the Totally Triumph festival returns for another three days of Triumph-focused nostalgia.
The classic car fest kicks off on Friday 23rd with an informal meet & greet where you can get to meet fellow Triumph fans, enjoy a meal and soak up the atmosphere. Bar meals and drinks will be available at the Hermanus bar restaurant from 6pm.
The fun continues on Saturday 24 September with the annual scenic drive event starting from the Long Beach camp site at Hemsby, NR29 4JD. Destination is a surprise location in Norfolk. Route maps will be available between 10.00am and 11.00am from Long Beach. Saturday evening is time for the annual Nosh ‘N’ Knees Up, which takes place at Hermanus from 7pm and involves a carvery meal followed by a disco and some fun and games (including, by popular demand, Steve’s Play Your Cards Right!). Costs for the carvery are £6.95 for adults and £4.95 for children. Desserts are £3.95 (prices are subject to change at short notice) . There is no need to book although we’d appreciate an email advising how many would like to attend. Payment can be made on the night.
Sunday 25 September is the main event day with a Static Vehicle Display, side stalls and events in the arena to keep everyone entertained. The arena is located just down the road from the ‘Hermanus Leisure complex’, close to the Long Beach Camping site.
The big show will start at 10.00am with the Show ‘n’ Shine static display competition with prizes and trophies for best Tin Tops & Rag Tops, with all trophies awarded according to a public vote. As well as this, there will be a whole host of fun attractions including tombola, an auto-jumble, open to all, selling unwanted parts that are clogging up you garage, plus various trade stands and craft stalls.
The day will be filled with all kinds of events, including the Tug – a – Triumph strength contest, performing dogs, and the Lowestoft Signing Choir, plus a huge range of food & drink available on site.
Entry fees to the events are:
Saturday’s scenic drive is £5.00 per car.
Sunday’s event is £8.00 per Vehicle (Pre-Booked & paid) or £10.00 pay at the gate on the day.
On Sunday, walk in visitors are most welcome and entry fee is £4.00.
